We specialise in repairing and restoring windows. However, at times replacement is necessary, and we provide hard wood window replacements either in double glazing or single glazed.

Studies show the cost of replacing timber windows is sometimes financially unsound as shown in this case study. However, with heating costs rising, there is a need for upgrading to double glazing for the long term.

We provide a premium service and so prefer to provide prices upfront. All our repairs and replacements utilise premium hard wood and premium paint. Please refer to our pricing page for an estimate of costs.

Services

Repair

Using traditional methods such as splicing and modern techniques using flexible epoxy resin. Sills, window rails and stiles, cords, pulleys, locks, new glazing and putty repair. Painting and finishing.

Replace

New hardwood double glazing with toughened glass filled with Argon gas. Finished in oil based paint for a tougher long lasting finish. New brass or chrome pulleys.

Restore

In some cases we are asked to full strip windows and frames back to bare wood. We then go through a process of repair using epoxy fillers, prime, undercoat and top coat the windows. This process ensures a very long lasting finish to preserve windows almost indefinitely.
